Precious CarGo - The Gonzalez Family Toy Drive
Carlos Gonzalez and his family, wife Indonesia and son Santiago, are excited to announce their toy drive for Colorado families, taking place on Dec. 14. Helping families in need is of the utmost importance for the Gonzalez family, and CarGo has stepped up to the plate to do a one-for-one toy drive: one toy donation for one CarGo autograph.
Here's how it works: On Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9-11 a.m. at Coors Field's Diamond Dry Goods store on Blake Street, Carlos Gonzalez will be signing autographs for the first 300 fans who donate a new, unwrapped toy. Cash donations of $25 or more will also be accepted in lieu of a toy. To ensure the maximum number of people have an autograph opportunity, there will be no reentry and only one autograph will be permitted per person. Toys and funds collected from the drive will be evenly distributed between Children's Hospital Colorado, Centro San Juan Diego, the Samaritan House Homeless Shelter and Tennyson Center for Children and the Give Denver Adopt-A-Family Program.
But the Gonzalez family's toy drive and autograph session is not limited to only the Denver Metro Area. After the conclusion of the Coors Field autograph session, CarGo and his family will do a similar one-for-one toy drive at the new Colorado Springs Dugout Store location from 1-2 p.m. The first 100 fans that go to 5230 N Nevada Ave., Suite #140 with a toy will have the opportunity to receive a Carlos Gonzalez autograph as well.
