Data Management Part-Time Staff »

The primary purpose of the job is to assist the Baseball Analytics department with the design, implementation, and management of the Baseball Department's information architecture. The candidate will assist the Baseball Analytics staff to maintain data infrastructure, support needs, implement solutions, and drive innovation in baseball's data-driven decision process. Key functions will include data modeling, integration, warehousing, and consumption. This is an in-season 35-40 hour a week hourly position.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
    Data Modeling
  • Understand and document existing database structures, historical design decisions, business rules, and future requirements
  • Develop and document a comprehensive information model that describes the data and maps the workflow that transform and manipulates it into usable information
  • Ensure "single version of the truth" consistency across applications and reports
    Data Integration
  • Create and manage ETL (extract, transform, load) data integration processes
  • Understand the format, definitions, limitations, and content of external and internal data feeds
  • Reconcile differences across data sources and consolidate into a single master repository
  • Knowledge of managing and reading XML, JSON, CSV among other data formats into proprietary databases
  • Assist efforts to identify, obtain and integrate new data sources useful for decision-making
    Data Warehousing
  • Design and manage a data warehouse to support reporting and analytics
  • Review and assess technical proposals requesting changes or upgrades to the existing databases
  • Data Consumption
  • Support data and reporting requirements for a variety of applications, analysts, and end-users in all departments
  • Provide technical and strategic advice of the management in the creation and implementation of new data standards, databases, products, and vendors
REQUIREMENTS:
    Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field (candidates still in school with extensive work towards such degree will be considered)
  • Information technology experience
  • Business intelligence, data warehousing, OLAP, and/or data integration experience.
  • Proven data modeling experience
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing large and complex data warehouses and cubes in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services
  • Thorough knowledge of design and integration principles for complex, heterogeneous databases
  • Experience with ETL and BI reporting tools (e.g. Microsoft SSIS & SSRS)
  • Advanced knowledge in query development, including SQL, MDX, and stored procedures
  • Experience parsing XML, JSON and CSV formatted data
  • Candidates with some, but not all skills are encouraged to apply
    Relevant Skills
  • Knowledgeable about software development best practices and long-term maintainability of code
  • Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure, integrity, and incompatibilities
  • Familiarity with baseball and sabermetrics strongly desirable
  • Experience using statistical programs (R, Python or others) and/or data mining (WEKA or others) applications is desirable
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Conditional Formatting)
  • Familiarity with any of application development and/or web technologies is desirable
    Functional Skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends required
  • Effective communication with both co-workers and guests
  • Passion for Baseball, strong intellectual curiosity and strong communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationship with members of the Front Office

Assistant - Ticket Finances/Analytics »

This position requires assisting in the following areas:

  • Ticket Finance and Reporting

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

TICKET FINANCE AND REPORTING
  • Compile and distribute ticket reports for internal use including ownership. Includes, but not limited to: Daily Sales reports, Hold/Sold reports, Aramark P-Card.
  • Compile required Major League Baseball reports for the New York MLB office. Includes pre-season and game close reports.
  • Reconcile on a regular basis all system deposits to the Finance Department G/L ledgers.
  • Assist with providing ticket accounting information requested by the auditors for the Finance Departments annual audits.
  • Coordinate and balance all season ticket and single game exchanges from the team's Dugout Stores.
  • Research and compile all dispute documentation for credit card chargebacks.
ARCHTICS DATABASE
  • Oversee the annual set-up of sorting and selection codes in Archtics by account, event, price code, etc.
  • Assist with running lists for the Inside and Outbound sales teams, also cleaning and purging accounts providing the most current information.
  • Assist with running sales reports for the Inside and Outbound sales teams.
TICKETMASTER ACCOUNT MANAGER AND GROUP MANAGER OPERATIONS
  • Assist with the Account Manager System set-up and maintenance. Includes working with TicketFast, ticket forwarding, mobile delivery, ticket exchanges, seat upgrades, PowerTickets and Coca-Cola Value Packs.
  • Assist with the Group Manager set-up and maintenance. Includes self-service groups, group purchase links and group ticket specials.
  • Reconcile TicketMaster credit card settlement reports.
  • Responsible for GiveX (Loyalty Card) reconciliation and support to Dugout Stores and Season Tickets.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT AND ANALYTICS
  • Assist with the research and implementation of a future CRM solution.
  • Serve as a business analyst, analyzing reports and developing strategies related to the organization's revenue objectives, return on investment details.
  • Create and manage digital dashboards that track flows, provide real-time data and identify historical trends for measuring efficiencies and helping to make informed decisions.
  • Generate other ticketing reports sorted by customer segment, event, price code, price level and revenue to assist sales reps in tracking their sales accurately and efficiently.
ROCKIESTIX
  • Provide support and financial closing information for non-Rockies events. Includes events such as concerts, NHL events, etc.
  • Share in rotation that provides onsite customer support for non-Rockies events.
OTHER
  • Assist with compiling the "End of Year Book" summarizing all final sales numbers, graphs and detailed goals for the next season.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor degree required with emphasis in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred.
  • Ticketing experience required, minimum one year.
  • Working knowledge of Archtics.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Office applications and Excel.
  • Must be detail oriented, dedicated, possess strong customer service skills, able to handle multiple tasks and must be trusted with sensitive information.
  • Must work well in a group atmosphere and work well with a wide variety of individuals at all levels.
  • Occasional night or weekend hours as necessary.

Account Representative, Outbound Sales - Part time »

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
  • Generate new revenue through the sale of season tickets, mini-plans, group tickets, party facilities, suites and other inventory available at Coors Field
  • Retain and renew existing ticketing business
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients
  • Assist with various game day responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Contact new prospects each day from lead lists

  • Research and identify new markets to create new sales opportunities
