October 31, 1972 > The Philadelphia Phillies trade third baseman Don Money to the Milwaukee Brewers in a deal that nets the Phils two pitchers. More importantly, the transaction opens up the hot corner for a young infielder named Mike Schmidt, who will go on to become arguably the greatest third baseman in the history of the game.
