CAREER: Joined the Major League staff in 1999...worked the Division Series (2003, 06, 11) and the 2003 All-Star Game...attended the Jim Evans Umpire Academy in 1991...previously umpired in the Appalachian League (1991), Midwest League (1992), Florida State League (1993-94), Southern League (1995), Eastern League (1996) and International League (1997-98)...he and his brother Tim were paired on the same crew in the 2005 regular season and again from 2008-2010.
PERSONAL: Born in August 1967 in Michigan...resides in Michigan...married with four children received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Management) from Western Michigan University in 1990 spends time volunteering at schools in the off-season and coaching his children's sports teams hobbies include hunting and golf.
