D-backs at the plate: Chris Burke knocked a two-run homer, Orlando Hudson knocked a two-run triple, Mark Reynolds doubled and singled and Stephen Drew added an RBI double.
Rockies at the plate: Troy Tulowitzki homered and Matt Holliday homered and singled. Garrett Atkins doubled and singled.
D-backs on the mound: Minor League right-hander Hector Ambriz gave up four runs, three earned, and five hits in four innings.
Rockies on the mound: Left-hander Jeff Francis, in his final tuneup for his Opening Day start at St. Louis on Monday, held the D-backs to two runs and five hits, with three strikeouts, in five innings. Reliever Luis Vizcaino struggled, giving up a leadoff walk, a double that should have been fielded, ultimately surrendering four runs and three hits in 2/3 of an inning. Closer Manny Corpas struck out three but gave up a run and two hits.
Cactus League records: Diamondbacks 11-17, Rockies 12-12.
Up next for the D-backs: The D-backs complete their Tucson Electric Park schedule on Thursday by starting right-hander Dan Haren against the White Sox.
Up next for the Rockies: Right-hander Kip Wells, headed for bullpen duty when the season begins, will start for the Rockies against the Angels on Thursday at Tempe Diablo Stadium. Right-hander Aaron Cook will stay in Tucson and throw in a Minor League game.
