Royals Charities 5k Run/Walk This Saturday
Royals Charities will host the annual 5K Run/Walk presented by FOX Sports Kansas City at Kauffman Stadium this Saturday, August 27. The event, which begins at 8 a.m. and features a course that takes runners around the Kauffman Stadium warning track, benefits Royals Charities. The 5K is USATF certified and chip timed.
Royals in the Community: Play Ball Event Highlights Weekend Outreach
The 2015 World Champion Kansas City Royals will host the Minnesota Twins (August 18-21). Throughout the weekend, the Royals will host children at several events, including Moose Lodge (August 19), PLAY Ball Clinic (August 20) and UMPS Care (August 21).
Royals add Kenjiro Nomura to baseball operations staff
The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have added Kenjiro Nomura to their staff as an Advisor to Baseball Operations. Nomura has most recently served as a broadcaster and advisor for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in Japan's Central League.

Royals recall OF Billy Burns
Burns, 26, was acquired from the Oakland A's on Saturday. He has played in each of the last three Major League seasons with the A's, batting .234 with 11 doubles, four triples, 14 stolen bases and 32 runs scored in 73 games this year.

Fans can register for the Royals Charities 5K Run/Walk online at www.royals.com/run. Individuals are priced at $35, and family four-packs are available for $120.
