NEW YORK -- MLB Advanced Media, LP (MLBAM), the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball, and Turner Sports, announced today that, for the first time ever, it is offering live audio streams of a number of Atlanta Braves regular season games in the Spanish language on MLB.com.

MLBAM will stream about 23 Braves games in Spanish during the remainder of the 2005 season. The games will be called in Spanish by well-known TBS broadcasters Fernando Palacios and Pete Manzano.

Braves fans can access the Spanish language broadcasts as part of MLB.com's GameDay Audio service which allows fans to listen to every game of every team, home or away feeds and Spanish language feeds, for the entire season for $7.95. In addition, fans can access the remaining six Braves Xtra games live in Spanish for free at atlantabraves.com.

"The Braves are excited to join MLB.com in providing Spanish-language audio Webcasts," said Jeff Gregor, senior vice president of sports marketing and programming for Turner Sports. "The online broadcasts are a great complement to our television coverage on TBS and will help keep our fans around the world connected to the excitement of Braves baseball."

"We are pleased to partner with Turner Sports to offer Internet-based Spanish Language audio broadcasts of Braves games. Now Spanish speaking Braves fans in the U.S. and abroad can follow their favorite players via live Spanish audio on MLB.com and Atlantabraves.com, said Alex Pigeon, director of international business development at MLB.com."

With the addition of Braves games in Spanish, MLBAM now offers live Spanish Language Audio Internet Streaming for fifteen Major League Baseball Clubs including the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Arizona Diamondbacks, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Seattle Mariners, San Francisco Giants, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, Florida Marlins and the Texas Rangers.
