The Minnesota Twins and Target Field food service partner Delaware North Sportservice are proud to announce a partnership with local Mexican favorite El Burrito Mercado, the first iconic St. Paul establishment to join the culinary lineup at Target Field. El Burrito Mercado, a family-owned business for more than 30 years, will now serve their Walk A Taco at Target Field during the 2011 season and beyond.

"The Silva Family is very excited to bring our taco innovation into Twins Territory," said Tomas Silva Jr., Owner of El Burrito Mercado. "Having the Walk A Taco at Target Field will hopefully be an opportunity for it to join the ranks of other ballpark favorites."

The Walk A Taco has participated in countless festivals including TwinsFest 2011, Taste of Minnesota, Cinco de Mayo, Grand Ol' Days and will now be available at Twins home games. Walk A Taco is a crispy, cone shaped, flour tortilla filled with your favorite taco salad ingredients. Before your selections of flavorful ingredients are stuffed into the specially designed cone, they're mixed together so you get mouthfuls of deliciousness in every bite.

"The Twins are proud to add another local icon like El Burrito Mercado to the culinary lineup at Target Field," said Dave St. Peter, Twins President. Target Field continues to raise the bar on ballpark cuisine with regional influences and partnerships with iconic local restaurants. The Silva Family has owned and operated El Burrito Mercado in St. Paul for more than 30 years and remains committed to true representation of Mexican and Latino food.

"Sportservice is dedicated to supplying Target Field with food and beverage choices from some of the best culinary concepts in the local market," said Pete Spike, Sportservice general manager at Target Field. "We believe that the Walk A Taco will add spice to the already great lineup at Target Field." Fans can learn more about Target Field's concessions and dining offerings at TasteOfTwinsTerritory.com.
