Joe Morgan has nearly all of the accolades a baseball player could ever dream of receiving. On Saturday, the Hall of Famer became the sixth former Red to be immortalized outside of Great American Ball Park with a statue.

Catcher Cameron Rupp was a September callup after splitting this season between Double-A Reading and Triple-A Lehigh Valley. In his final 21 games with the IronPigs, he batted .329 with three homers and 11 RBIs. Phillies interim manager Ryne Sandberg wants a chance to evaluate Rupp. He just hasn't found the right opportunity to get him a start yet.

Manager Dusty Baker decided on Saturday it would be best to keep Phillips off his feet and give him some rest.

For the first time in his Major League career, Reds closer Aroldis Chapman pitched for the fourth day in a row on Friday, closing out a 3-2 win over the Dodgers for his 35th save of the season. Manager Dusty Baker said on Saturday that it was part of his plan to have Chapman logging more and more appearances as the season winds down.
