Duke Energy is now accepting applications from Tampa Bay-area agencies working to support veterans in our community to receive funds raised through their 2016 Victories for Veterans program. Through this program, Duke Energy contributes $1,000 for every Rays regular season win to organizations serving veterans in Pinellas and Pasco counties.
The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field on Monday to begin a 10-game, 11-day homestand against the San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox. The Rays host the Padres for the first time since 2013 in a three-game set (August 15-17). Following an off-day on Thursday, the Rays take on the American League West-leading Rangers for a weekend series (August 19-21). The homestand concludes with a four-game set against divisional opponent Red Sox (August 22-25).
The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired infielder Matt Duffy, minor league shortstop Lucius Fox and right-handed pitcher Michael Santos from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for left-handed pitcher Matt Moore.
The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired minor league outfielder Nathan Lukes (LOO-kis) and minor league right-handed pitcher Jhonleider Salinas (yo-LAHN-der) from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for outfielder Brandon Guyer.
