After John Van Benschoten exited after allowing nine runs in only two-plus innings, the Pirates bullpen held the Rockies in check. Five relievers combined to throw seven innings, allowing only one run (unearned) on two hits. Ryan Doumit led the Pirates, going 2-for-5 with two RBIs.
