The Mathletics Board and the A's distribute thousands of "Mathletics" workbooks which utilize simple formulas for calculating statistics of A's players to students in hopes to promote the importance of math among Bay Area youth. Students who are in the first through eighth grade, that complete the workbooks correctly and submit the answer sheet to the A's will earn two ticket vouchers to an A's game. One lucky school will receive a visit from an A's player.
The Oakland Athletics would like to THANK all of our teachers that served on the Mathletics Board for the 2016 season! These dedicated teachers (pictured above) created the curriculum for the 1st-8th grade workbooks for 2016.
All Mathletics workbooks have been distributed for the 2016 season and the deadline has passed to redeem for vouchers, however you may still download a Mathletics workbook to practice your math skills!
The 2017 Mathletics workbooks will be available by end of January 2017.
Chevron and the Oakland A's have partnered to bring Science of the Game to students in the 1st -8th grades. Students have the opportunity to earn two (2) free ticket vouchers to a regular season A's game by learning about baseball and the role that Science plays through this workbook program.
The 2017 Workbooks will be available end of January 2017.
