Pirates Charities Golf Classic

8th annual Pirates Charities Golf Classic

The 8th Annual Pirates Charities Golf Classic presented by WPAHS will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Fox Chapel Golf Club. Last year, the tournament included more than 100 participants who had the opportunity to spend the afternoon on the golf course with Pirates players such as Andrew McCutchen, Neil Walker and Michael McKenry; former Pirates like Bill Mazeroski, Grant Jackson and Bob Friend; plus Pirates broadcasters and front office executives.

In 2012, proceeds from the event benefited Pirates Charities programs, including Fields for Kids and Pittsburgh RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner-Cities). The former provides matching grants to help make improvements to youth baseball and softball fields and the latter opportunities for more than 900 underserved youngsters to play baseball and softball in Pittsburgh. Proceeds also helped to support a number of Miracle League Fields in the Pittsburgh region. The Miracle League works to build baseball and softball fields uniquely adapted for children with special needs.

Registration information will be available soon. For more information, please call (412) 325-4720.
