Cardinals RED for Kids

What is it? Rally Everyone Day

photo

Cardinals RED for Kids is the Cardinals version of the popular office casual or "dress down" days. The Cardinals are asking organizations to allow their employees to dress casual and wear red for a day to show support for the Cardinals while donating to Cardinals Care.

It is a great way for fans to rally their support for the Cardinals while helping kids in our community. Schools are also encouraged to participate in Cardinals RED for Kids, but are not required to make a donation to get involved.

How do organizations get involved?

We are asking organizations to encourage their employees to dress down and wear red to show their support for the Cardinals.

It is a great way to support the team and help kids!

We would like each organization to designate a team leader (the head of Human Resources for instance), who will take responsibility for organizing a dress red day(s) at their respective organization.

  1. The team leader should click the 'Sign Up Now' button below or download, fill out, and return the pdf form below to sign up, pledging to raise the money on behalf of their organization.
  2. The team leader then asks each participating employee to make a modest donation ($5, for instance) to be able to dress down and wear red in support of the Cardinals for the day. Schools are also encouraged to participate in Cardinals RED for Kids, but are not required to make a donation to get involved.
  3. The team leader collects all the donations and sends a check made payable to Cardinals Care (Busch Stadium, 700 Clark Street, St. Louis, MO 63102).

How did this get started?

The idea started with the best and most generous fans in baseball. Some local groups organized fundraisers to help Cardinals Care help the children of Joplin this past season as part of the Teams Unite for Joplin effort. Mayor Slay took the lead in organizing a drive on behalf of city workers, while a team from Shop N' Save stepped up to help too. During the 2011 Postseason, the employees at Bunge North America, Inc. raised over $6000 in donations!
